On May 25, 2018, new provisions of the law on the protection of personal data entered into force pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. the free flow of such data and the repeal of Directive 95/46 / EC, commonly referred to as the Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data ("RODO").
The new provisions regulate the protection of personal data and have been adopted in the form of a regulation, which means direct application of the regulations by all entrepreneurs processing personal data on the territory of the European Union. All in order to harmonize the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals throughout the European Union and thus to ensure the free flow of personal data between Member States.
